Weekends in Brooklyn

April 2, 2018

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful weekend with your families and friends. I spent it in Delaware with my family and had a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every once in a while I like to get away to rest and recharge and my parent's summer home is the perfect place. I spent this weekend reading, prepping posts for the upcoming week and spending some quality time with family.

I'm ready to take on this week with a fresh mindset and positive attitude!

I wanted to share what my boyfriend and I love to do on the weekends in Brooklyn. As some of you know, I moved out of my Brooklyn apartment with my roomie and moved back home with my parents. My boyfriend, who currently lives in Brooklyn, and I are hoping to move in together by the end of this year but most weekends I'm over at his place hanging out. We love to explore different areas within the borough and find new coffee shops for an early morning cup o' joe!

As simple as it sounds, exploring different neighborhoods and looking at different homes if one of our favorite things to do. My dad is an architect so I used to do the same thing when I was little. We'd take drives around to look at different homes/buildings and it was something that I just grew up loving. I'd dream about living in these different homes, large mansions, cool brownstones, homes with acres and acres of land. I'd dream up different futures for myself depending on the property we were looking at. Today when Tom and I walk around different neighborhoods we imagine if we lived there and it's fun to share that with each other.

I honestly can't imagine a better and more relaxing way to spend a morning. What are you favorite weekend routines? Let me know below! I'd love to read your comments.

Thanks so much for reading today's post!
xo,
Maia
