Let's Get to Work: Polka Dots & A Pencil Skirt

August 18, 2015

Top: old, similar Skirt: old, similar - on sale!, Heels: similar, Crossbody: Marc Jacobs, Sunnies: Chanel, Rings: Accessorize, Bracelets: Franchesca's Boutique, J.Crew Factory, and borrowed, Watch: old

As some of you may know, I work a corporate 9 to 5 job that doesn't let me to pull off the ripped denim look. While I love trendy casual looks, during the week you will see me wearing an ensemble quite similar to this one.

I love the elegance and sophistication a pencil skirt brings to an outfit - it's my work staple. While I may go for a classic black pencil skirt, I do have a variety of colors that I like to mix and match with various tops. As I prepare for my favorite season, I have already begun to encorporate my favorite fall colors into my wardrobe. I paired this polka-dot top from J.Crew Factory (Ann Taylor also has a similar one, link is above!) and this old olive H&M skirt. I've had this skirt for years, and it is still a favorite piece of mine! To keep with the classic look I added my ASOS heeled sandals, my Marc Jacobs cross body & my Chanel sunnies! (A memory from my trip to Paris :)) the bracelets are a mix of old & borrowed and the background is Park Avenue in the greatest city in the world!

Beautiful Barcelona: Parc Guell

August 7, 2015

Crop Top: Mango, Shorts: Mango, Sunnies: Mango, Sandals: Birkenstock, Necklaces: Mango, Bracelet: borrowed, Rings: Accessorize (UK)

One of my favorite places to shop while in Barcelona was Mango. Similar to an H&M, Mango provides a wide selection of men & women's clothing at reasonable prices. I have managed to find a few Mango stores in the states but nothing compares to the selection in Europe.
My goal was to pack light when traveling to Europe which meant lots of shopping while I was there! :) The temperatures were higher than expected so exploring the Parc Guell in a crop top & shorts sounded ideal to me. I was inspired by the sunny and bohemian vibes of Barcelona, and picked the top, shorts and accessories from Mango. I love how it turned out, what do you ladies think?

Beautiful Barcelona: Coral Tassel Dress

August 5, 2015

Dress: Aqua, Sunnies: old, Bucket Bag: Madewell, Necklace & Rings: Accessorize (UK), Earrings: J.Crew (similar), Sandals: Birkenstock

Happy Wednesday! This coral tassel dress was the perfect addition to my vacation wardrobe. I had a feeling the pop of color would be perfect for the bright and warm city and I was right! As I admired the sights and sounds of Barcelona, this coral number kept me cool. I kept it simple with dainty gold accessories, as I kept my jewelry minimalistic during the whole trip. It was bright with a fun tassel detail. I paired it with my trusty Madewell bucket bag that has been a staple in the summer wardrobe and my oh-so loved Birks.

Casa Gracia: Where I stayed!

August 4, 2015

Happy Tuesday! Even though I've been back in the states for about 3 weeks now I am still reminiscing on the adventure that was my Eurotrip. I posted on London and Paris before but I haven't shared my thoughts on Barcelona. This was my second visit to Barcelona, and it was even better than my last. My girl Cynthia and I stayed at Casa Gracia, a hostel on the corner Paseo de Gracia and Avenida Diagonal that was absolutely perfect! We somehow managed to stay right in the shopping area of every city we visited - complete coincidence ;) Think Zara, Mango & Chanel - a fashionista's paradise!
It was right in city center, down the street from the metro and a few bus stops away from Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia Cathedral. I'd definitely recommend it for all travelers! :)
So spacious and comfortable!
The cutest kitchen to cook in!

Hands down I would stay here again! It was an awesome hostel in the perfect location with the friendliest staff. I felt completely safe and absolutely loved the price. For those wondering Europe is completely possible on a tight budget, you just have to do the research!

Current Favorites & Inspirations

Mar y Sol Tote, Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia: Jasmine, Ralph Lauren Romance, & Other Stories Fig FictionParis: An Inspiring Tour of the City's Creative

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my current favorites and things that have been the main source of inspiration for my outfits and decor. The Mar y Sol woven bag I purchased from Nordstrom and fell in love with the woven texture; the cutest summer bag. The navy stripe pattern adds to the simplicity of the bag and the pom poms are a great touch.

Another monthly obsession of mine has been the desire to smell good. These 3 perfumes have been on heavy rotation! Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia: Jasmine sucked me in with the packaging but the fresh and floral scent is right up my alley. I can honestly say my favorite scents are floral and fresh so I end up smelling like a bouquet most of the time. Haha! Ralph Lauren Romance is no different; a classic fresh scent with rose, ginger and musk notes is also a favorite of mine this month. My final fragrance favorite (say that 5 times fast, haha!) of the month was recommended to me by Hanna of House of Petite while I was in London. She took me shopping and I discovered so fantastic shops one of them being & Other Stories. I found out that have one in NYC so I'm thrilled but she recommended Fig Fiction which has fig, green tea and musk notes and it smells absolutely amazing. Seriously, so good!

Overall my Eurotrip still inspires me and has inspired me to redecorate my bedroom! A huge task if you ask me but I'm up for the challenge. I'm grabbing inspiration from the photos I've taken and from this book that I picked up at Anthropologie. This book inspired my trip and is no inspiring the decor of the bedroom. It's a lovely book and I can't wait to share what my bedroom looks once complete!

Thanks so much for reading!
