Let's Go to Work: Stripes & Floral

June 23, 2015

Dress: Anthropologie (on sale now!), Sandals: old, Sunnies: old, Clutch: Madewell, Bracelet: J.Crew Factory, Watch: Michael Kors

Happy Tuesday, loves! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, because I sure did. I spent the weekend at my parents home in Delaware and enjoyed a nice and relaxing Father's Day with Papa J. Even though I was bummed the weekend was over, I was looking forward to wearing this fabulous new dress from Anthropologie. I couldn't resist the matching of stripes and floral, two of my favorite things! The fit and flare silhouette is stunning and I couldn't help but feel so feminine and dainty wearing it. As much as I love throwing on a pair of jeans and white t-shirt, the days where I have enough energy to get dolled up are truly the days I live for. I can't deny my ultra-feminine ways. I'm a girly-girl through and through. I mean as a little girl, I used to beg my mom to let me wear tutus and princess gowns when I went grocery shopping with her. She probably thought I was insane but I'm glad she let me, be me. My girly ways have never left me; I'd probably still wear a gown to work if I could but this dress was just as good :)

I bought a size 2P and it felt true to size, it truly fit perfectly, and I received lots of compliments while wearing it! I don't know if words express how great this dress and how wonderful I felt in it. I've always believed that an outfit can absolutely boost self-confidence; when you look good you can't help but feel fantastic, and this dress totally did the trick :)

Summer Neutrals

June 18, 2015

Sweater:Zara, Skirt: Zara, Shoes: Steve Madden, Necklace & Earrings: old, Purse: old, Make Up: Jessica Sierra

Happy Thursday, everyone! Everyone know how much I love neutrals, truly it's a ridiculous obsessesion. My friend, Janelly can attest to my fascination especially with the color, grey. Ever since I can remember I have been drawn to greys, and whites because I loved the crisp look to them.
Of course I try to add bright colors every once in a while but while shopping at Zara I found these two great pieces that I wanted to share with you all! The sweater is seriously my new favorite piece and you might think why would you want to wear a sweater in this heat?! I know, I'm nuts but the sweater is so lightweight, it's great to throw over a light tank top, pair it with a skirt or over a dress and it's not bulky at all. There's an overall shimmer to the material, so it adds a bit of dimension to the piece.

The skirt, let's just talk about this white mini skirt. LOVE. That's the only word I can use. I love this white skirt and I've been wearing it a ton lately. It's a great A-line skirt with a small woven pattern that looks great with other neutral pieces.

My shoes are probably the most fun shoe I've ever owned! I had to jump on the fringe band wagon and I do not regret it. These beauties are Steve Madden and can be found in many colors, perfect for summer!

Not All Who Wander Are Lost: Shop Hopes Dress & Review

June 16, 2015

Dress: Shop Hopes, Hat: Lyla & Bo, Sunnies: J.Crew Factory, Earrings: J.Crew, Lips: Morning Coffee

Happy Tuesday, loves! It's been quite a while since I've posted. Things at work have been crazy busy so most of my time has been split between office and catching up on sleep. I hope all of you have been doing well and have been enjoying the fabulous warm weather we've been having!

This Shop Hopes dress is perfect for these warm days. It was first time I purchased from Shop Hopes, a online boutique and store based out of Georgia. Their pieces are cute, bright, and very trendy. I discovered them on Instagram and thought they had adorable items from dresses to the prettiest blouses and lots of accessories. I ordered two items from them, a lace romper and the black flowy dress pictured above. The main issue I had was with sizing (story of my life). The ordered size S in both items because that's the smallest size they have and the romper for way too small. I couldn't pull it up past my thighs (thanks, mom!), and the black dress fit better due to the style but had really long sleeves. I figured I could work with the sleeves but the romper had to go back. Shop Hopes makes it clear on their website that return shipping is not free and they will take out the shipping free from your return. Overall, the inconsistent sizing was a turn off for me and I will probably not order from them again. They have cute pieces but I could probably find similar at Forever 21 for at cheaper price.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
